Amsterdam Southeast is quickly becoming one of the most attractive city districts, but this requires a period of constructions, fences and cranes.
To make this space as pleasant as possible, Hobu Amsterdam, together with #OurDomain and the municipality, organised a 'Hekkenthon' - a 24-hour design competition with construction fences as canvas, won by artist Munir De Vries. In his “You’ll Never Walk Alone” concept different figures walk towards the future with a smooth movement.
On the 11th of July we enjoyed a great Saturday of sun, music, nice food and incredible collaboration among artists and Amsterdam Southeast residents, which contributed to colour the first unveiled figures. We look forward to see the project completed in the following weeks!
